It is a major faux pas to claim "owned" on ones own joke. It's akin to starting out by saying, "Hey guys, listen to this great joke..." We'll be the judge of that!

In other words I was saying that no Men are monogamous however that doesn't mean men don't have the ability to control themselves.

I am not playing word games, I am clarifying what I am saying until you understand my meaning.

From time to time I space out and mis the point of a post completely. I am re-reading your post over and over but I'm still getting the same thing. If you said "Just because you practice monogamy doesn't make you monogamous by nature" then you have a point that I might agree with. That seems to be the case but then again you say:

You can argue about 2, but you can't argue about 1 (at least by the definition). You called Thudz and I women. I think you should call us honest men and be cheering us on instead of belittling us. Again, I'm not upset, I'm just happy that you are losing a definitional battle which is very unusual for you.

I was using "owned" as a tool to mitigate the emphasis on the statement itself. I find it makes the joke less inflammatory, which is important in this environment where sarcasm is often misinterpreted.

Furthermore, using freedom words like "faux pas" is not very patriotic.

Exactly. If I bring the subject up, she owns me. So I've hesitated until now.
My player friends would say if I bring this subject up then I obviously care about it more than she does and as soon as that becomes clear to her she loses interest and it's game over. I generally don't follow those guidelines but we know it's true.

If you're concerned about bringing up a subject that relates directly to how you interact with a girl, specifically, how something she is doing bothers you, or you're still listening to player friends, it's just time to move on. You should have chickenheads lined up for times like these, so you don't have to deal with it from her specifically. That's what makes a player a player and that's how you put it in the girl's court. You just don't worry about it until she decides it's time to worry about it. The risk, of course, is that she isn't worried about it, and you are.

So, you obviously care about it at some level or you wouldn't be looking for a third opinion. Grab your nuts, figure out a way to bring the subject up with her, or, just decide it isn't worth it and deal with it as is, or move on. You just have to figure out a way to bring it up commensurate with the depth of relationship you are hoping to have.

Couple of other things:

What you are dealing with is a cut and dry relationship issue, that is, how do you arrange time to be together. If you're not on the same page about that, even if you two agree that the only time you'll be together is when you randomly bump into each other on the street, then you're going to be pissed off eventually. Shit happens, of course, but, with her, it doesn't sound like random shit happening.

I don't know about you, specifically, Hoof, but I do know from listening to my whiney beyotch male friends that the way they become whiney beyotch male friends is by letting stuff like this get to them while they are trying to decide if it is actually getting to them. By the time they decide it is, they are feeling a sense of desperation for letting so much time pass. That's what a girl can clearly see, and that's what will put her off.

One more thing:

No girl is ever put off by attention from a guy they like even if they try to act like they are. If she has any self-respect at all, and she likes you, she's expecting attention from you even if she doesn't give any back. You won't make yourself look like a beyotch simply by talking to her about not seeing her when you are semi-expecting to see her. IMHO, you make yourself look like a beyotch by letting her walk all over you through her actions without doing anything about it. In the meantime, while you're worried about keeping your self-respect by not talking to her, you let her get away with her actions, making her decide that you don't really have any to begin with.

I had a friend who fully admitted that she would start arguments with her other half just because she couldn't stand it going so easy all the time. She lived on the conflict and drama.

For me...I'm really really really happy that I didn't end up with a girl like that in the end. I'm actually getting married Oct 17th of this year finally. Took me 38 years to finally tie the knot.

No...I didn't date the girl for that long haha. I've known her for 20 though. Just didn't work out 20 years ago Worked out once we were older though.

Ok ok. I talked to her about it. She knew exactly what I was talking about when I raised the issue. She was definitely aware of it. I told her that I thought what she did was lame and to make an effort to follow through on plans in the future. She made a light-hearted attempt to justify her actions but gave in pretty quickly and agreed to be more conscious of her plan-breaking when it comes to me. I definitely believe she respected the fact that I raised the issue in a calm manner and told her how it made me feel. I worded my statement in no uncertain terms and that I wasn't going to tolerate that in any relationship that I'm a part of. I can tell that she really cares about me and that it bothered her that I was troubled by her decisions. We're getting along swimmingly at this point. Happy ending. No pun intended.
