For what its worth, in addition to Psylocke being completely immune to telepathy. Thor is said to have a "strong resistance" to telepathy, and Silver Surfer is said to have "resistance" to telepathy. I'm not able to quantify what any of that really means, will it take longer for a master telepath to gain control, or does it merely prevent n00b telepaths from gaining control? Peter is able to absorb and use any powers he comes in contact with so by touching Psylocke he too should become immune to telepathy.

Hopefully my team is well rounded enough now for you, but I'm guessing it probably isn't =p

Also, can telepaths control minds in different periods of time? I have three characters that can time travel (i know everyone hates that) Silver Surfer, Peter, and the Doctor. They may already know what foe they are facing and what is about to happen and stop the telepath before he acts.

The point is if he is still human enough to have a 'mind' that a telepath could pick up on. I have no clue. But with humans....if they get in your head...you realize that they can look around and learn what you know. So ya, he could be in deep shit.

The Hulk is immortal? Huh. Did not know. Granted I never read the comics. Is he literally unkillable or he just doesn't age? (They call the Highlanders immortal but you can still chop off their heads to kill them.)

Zouji's team has the advantage of not being full of disinterested or evil parties who would cause the world more harm than good. :-p

Granted Magneto is not exactly a good guy but if the world was threatened, you know he'd have to save it, if only because the threat would foil his grander plans.

There is a comic called Hulk: The End where he is the last living person on earth because of nuclear war. The only other life left are these huge cockroaches that eat everything, so they keep eating him down to the bones and he keeps regenerating. He's pretty much invincible.

Hulk probably wouldn't lift a finger to save the world though, he doesn't care, he just wants to be left alone.

Very good point. If the world is in danger, and the person lives there, he will probably work to save it. Hmm, I must ponder this.

The threat to the world is non-specific, other than it needs to be "saved". Since we're using TV and movie characters, possible threats include but are not limited to:
Zombies, aliens, inter-dimensional portals, supervillains, earthquakes, global warming, the rise of the machines (possibly via AI, possibly via mysterious comet that brings machines to life), plagues (which may or may not turn everyone into fast moving zombies), Hellgates, asteroids, extraordinary solar activity or Al Gore.

The question that was posed to you is to take "5 people".

I am sorry but Sith Lords, Superman, Thor and the Silver Surfer just don't qualify as people.

Rambo qualifies, Conan qualifies from a human barbarian sense, Batman is an arguable possibility because he relies on gadgets and not some super power. However his gadgets do defy human limits so he is a stretch that probably should not be allowed.

While you get to use fictional people, fiction to the point of removing them from the "people" catagory do not qualify.

Make sure you stick to some of Websters definitions of what "people" are.

Well that's a reasonable point. A team of 5 people, defined as "human beings" would eliminate Jedi simple because while they look human, they are not homo sapiens from earth and thus not "people". They'd be aliens. It would also eliminate Spock although not Captain Kirk. I guess it would also eliminate Dr. Who? Time Lords weren't human, were they?

In that case, I'd have to replace Optimus Prime, at least.



Oh, I think with this restriction, I would take Samantha Carter from SG-1. Since Optimus was there mostly to provide high-tech scientific direction, Samantha Carter would take over that role. She usually figures out scientific conundrums.


If Batman was a problem, I could replace him with Iron Man, who is practically the same guy. They're both human, though. Just really rich humans with lots of technology behind them.
