Good job Maul. Now you're going to force us to take chances!

In retrospect, I probably should have said, if you make a trade BEFORE the market close, you get the price at the END of that day, and if you make a trade AFTER the market close, you get the price at the START of the next day. But I was really trying to discourage too much trading...

Ok, then cancel my sell order and I'll decide before market close on Monday.
Trade: Cancel Sell order!

Alrihgt, alright, I'll leave my sell order in place. I don't want to bend the rules and taint what will certaintly be my ultimate victory a year from now (how long are we doing this?).
Trade: Cancel the cancel, in other words, Sell everything as initially requested so that I don't bend the rules. Sell Sell Sell!

So any guesses on Citigroup's earnings this week? I have it in RL and am wondering if I should let it ride.

I would like to know this too. I have a ETF that is heavy in CITI. The market sure things there is going to be a bump. Stock is up 12% today.
Earnings on the 17th.

I think it may well be a buy the rumor sell the news situation with the banks. Wells caused them all to surge, but after earnings there won't be any more catalysts for a while.
Having said that, I made a right balls up selling my RL BAC and UYG on Friday - both are up a bunch today. I was sure there would be a pullback so I could get back in, but no luck...

FYI not related to CITI, but related earnings, I just bought May calls for JNJ at $60. They report earnings this week as well. I'm thinking we are going to get some decent news from them, and the market attitude in general is going to be looking toward recovery.
Its a gamble, but at 10 cents, not much of one. A month is a long time. I'm betting the stock will see 54 or 55 at which point I will make a killing on the calls.
Interesting note is that JNJ April calls for 55 (close on the 18th) have over 40k open interest. I'm way to chicken to bet on that short term...

I was about to pull the trigger on Goldman options earlier today - only really didn't because I was pulled away from my computer and didn't get another chance.
Lucky for me, though. Although they CRUSHED earnings ($3.39, compared to $11.67 estimates), they are also doing a $5b offering so they can pay back the government. That is driving down the price AH, although I think this is ultimately a huge positive for the stock.
Be careful with near-term options, though. I think a lot of these banks will try to do offerings now that their shares have bounced back somewhat. Any dillution will probably push down shares in the short term.

On a side note, does that look like a $7.00 move on SNE if the forming pendent can break through the SMA-200?

Chartology is a different and arcane language to me. Fundamentals, market sentiment, and momentum FTW!
Talking of moves, though, looks like Zephrys could be the first of us to double his initial money. He's already up $17,492.21 today, to $192,127.91! hock: Ever thought of becoming a money manager, mate? I'll happily send you everything I have.

at the end of the day, please sell all MATK and buy as much CNX as possible.

Interesting. What do you like about CNX? Just a straight energy play?

valuation, momentum, that the 'plays' of the Obama Presidency (stem cell, solar, ect) haven't paid, that any economic recovery will require increased energy, the March 31 acquisitions by the Directors, growth estimates, 1yr price target estimate, and the fact that they have a 1st quarter earning call on April 23rd.
well, that or the dart board behind me
*edit, and straight price of the commodity

Griz, they are spread out over several weeks - you can find the date for most companies here:
