i bought some for real this morning, nice lil 25% profit in one day.

Bernanke made it very clear last night to me, (BTW that interview might have been the softest Ive ever seen on 60 Minutes, they might as well just have had Lesley Stahl suck Bernanke off) that there's no way in he'll let a single large bank fail. Might as well stock up on them now while they are junk status.

Doh - I kept meaning to jump into this game - is it too late, or would anyone mind if come in late?

Basically, I wanted to play the top 5 Dogs of the Dow just to see how it played out.

Let me know if I can come in and I'll throw in the 5 picks as they would have been from the week this game was kicked off.

I don't mind, but Grieve may be out for another week.

Actually, I do mind, I just read your "your mama" comment about me in the super secret policital room.

I hereby bar you from this game!

Ok, I've calmed down, I don't mind if you join as long as no one else minds. Maybe you can reach Grieve on his honeymoon.

There's a comeback to this, but of course, only the cool kids who are subscribed to the Politicial Forum can read it. It's hillaaaaaaarious!

My plan was to invest in the top 5 Dogs of the Dow, just to test that theory out. I want to put 20% into each. I won't be changing anything throughout this experiment so that I can test out the Dogs of the Dow theory. Below are the 5 picks from the week this experiment started, and their corresonding stock price. Also, all of these are dividend stocks, so am unsure how we handle these.

Thanks!

We are allowing trading. If you want to sell or buy just post it here. I think the price will be based on the closing price of the day.

Yea I'm up to 41% after a couple days of slippage into the 24% range.

I'm wondering if we will see a top of the trading range for a bit?

If you look at the charts We are at around the mid January trading range, before the big slump. If I was a betting man I think you will see some profit taking stemmed from shorts of anticipation of profit taking.

I'm guessing we will see the dow do some bouncing between 8k and 7200 for a little bit, until the good or bad news come out. When 1Q earning season start?
