Hey myself and others love the horrible Saturday movies. They provide a decent supply of bad movie night movies for our Wednesday viewing pleasure.
A-LA-BA-MA MAN!
HE'S QUICK, HE'S STRONG, HE'S ACTIVE!
You can take Alabama Man to the bowling alley, where he drinks heavily and chews tobacco!
HE CAN BOWL, HE CAN DRINK, HE CAN DRINK SOME MORE, ALA-BA-MA-MAN!
When wife asks him where he's been, just use the action button and Alabama Man busts her lip open!
"Shut up, Bitch!"
"Wow!"
BEATS HIS WIFE AND SLEEPS IT OFF, A-LA-BA-MA MAN!

Vanraw Wrote:yea I hear you on scifi. It used to be my most watched channel. Now I forget to even check whats on. With the exception of BSG.

It really went down hill when they started with the wrestling Tuesdays. WTF is that doing on scifi?

The same reason MTV stopped playing music videos and started playing reality shows and G4 stopped having shows about computers and video games and started showing crap like Cops. Its because most people are stupid, and stupid people want to watch their stupids shows.

Holy shit.

Seems that centurions have their own belief system.

Holy shit.

The fact that the 5 created the cylons was pretty cool. And you get the impression from the chief that its all coming back. Knowledge I mean.

Its going to be really interesting to see how the show ends.

here's a great summary of what we learned in this Episode shamelessly stolen:

SPOILER!

While on Kobol the twelve (human) tribes made a 13th tribe
of artificial (but biological!) beings. The Kobolians had
resurrection technology (Anders said "organic memory transfer"
technology came from Kobol). For whatever reason, that 13th tribe
left or was driven from Kobol and eventually found "Earth". While
there (or during the journey) they discovered/gained the ability
to procreate and the resurrection tech fell out of use. Meanwhile,
the other 12 tribes eventually left Cobol to found the colonies.

On "Earth" the 13th tribe eventually created centurions to serve
them. The people who became the final five got "warnings" of
the pending disaster (Anders said "I saw a woman. You [Tori] saw
a man. Galen, you thought you had a chip in you.") which sure as
heck sound to me like they came from the equivalent of Baltar's
Head-Six. So they rediscovered the resurrection tech and put
a ship in orbit to wait for the end. When they died in the nuking
they were reborn on the ship and took off at sublight but very
close to the speed of light speeds to look for the other tribes
and tell them not to build artificial beings. Because they
were sublight, it took them thousands of years to find the
colonies but they didn't age due to relativistic time dilation.

When they got to the colonies it was too late -- the first Cylon
war had begun. The colonies' Cylons were trying to become at least
partly biological (Razor flashbacks, for example). The Final Five,
hoping to prevent a future holocaust, made a deal with the colonies'
Cylons -- stop the war and we'll help you become fully biological.
The Cylons agreed and the Final Five created the other seven models,
starting with Cavil.

Unfortunately, Cavil turned out to be an evil, self-loathing sadist.
He destroyed the Daniel line after the first Daniel. He enslaved the
centurions and the raiders. He killed the Final Five and when they
resurrected he wiped their minds, gave them false memories, and planted
them in the colonies. He fiddled with the programming of the other
models to make them forget or not think about the Final Five. And
he decided to seek "revenge" on the colonists. So he's the one
behind wiping out the colonies.

I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but my friend and I talked all week of possibilities and here's what we came up with:

That discovery of the Chief's, obviously means there's something wrong with the ship, something very bad that will essentially put a timer on the ship's life. We also think that the show's direction will be for the crew to find a new, habitable planet to make home. Put these two together and you have:
-An objective
-A race to complete said objective

After my friend watched the episode he told me that we were eerily close.
Guess I'll find out tonight when I watch it. =)

Ok, I haven't read the above yet, but I saw enought to gather there was an episode last night. My frakin DVR didn't record it I guess. ARGHHHH!
"Hamilton is really a Colossus to the anti republican party. Without numbers he is an host within himself. They have got themselves into a defile where they might be finished but too much security on the republican part will give time to his talents and indefatigableness to extricate them. We have had only middling performances to oppose to him. In truth when he comes forward there is nobody but yourself who can meet him. His adversaries having begun the attack he has the advantage of answering them and remains unanswered himself. I wonder if Starbuck will somehow turn out to be "Daniel" after all. That Cylon was supposed to be artistic (which she is) and she did come back from the dead (apparently).

I can't figure out any other reason for even bringing the "Daniel" idea into the plot otherwise. It wasn't necessary to throw that in to get across the idea that "John" is a real jackass.

That would be a funny moment in the faces of the dudes that ended up sleeping with Starbuck/Daniel.

I had the same thought about Daniel. Something was "wrong with him" -- maybe a XY chromosome flip =)

Maybe this has been suggested, but my theory is that Daniel may be the 12th Cylon, but Starbuck is the 13th!! There were 13 tribes, so why would there not be 13 Cylon models?

I think Daniel would actually make it 13, and Starbuck may make it 14 depending on what her story ends up being:

1. John Cabal
2. Leoben
3. D'Anna
4. Doral
5. Simon
6. "Six" - Shelley? Name was only used in 1 episode.
7. Daniel
8. Sharon
9-13: Col. Tigh, Ellen Tigh, Tyrol, Anders, Tory

Maybe Starbuck is Daniel's daughter? We know cylon "skin-jobs" can reproduce with humans(ala Helo-Athena).

Well tonight's show didn't show us much. I was expecting some better revelation on Starbuck.

Well at least they got rid of all the setup for the last episode. So the last episode is probably gonna be full of fighting and whatnot.

Also they need to at some point say "Ramming Speed!" and ram something for it to be a true finale.

So many questions and so little time.

1 2 hour episode.

What do you guys think the song notes are about, or the dots (I'm assuming more notes) that the little Hera is drawing?

Do you know what the second to last episode of a series could use?

Less useless background about the worst characters sister being killed in a DUI.

Just watched it, and i'm pissed. this is the setup for the finale? This? I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but I was disappointed in this.

Boo @ the ending, if they told me to go live like a tribal farmer I'd say go fuck yourself and assume you could get enough people to form up a proper city to go along with you. Then I would send my turned natives and descendants with actual scientific understanding against the retards who decided to go play a game of civilization from scratch.

Also wish they had played down the whole spiritual aspect to the point where it wasn't explicitly stated that the stuff was caused by a sky wizard, no reason to ruin a perfectly good sci fi soap opera with fantasy elements Smile

Kara just disapearing was a cop out too. Close to "time travel".

They really didn't answer a lot of questions. Like the Danial line Cylon, or was Kara's dad a cylon? or a thousand other discussions. They just said.... ooo divine intervention.

I was disappointed but not surprised.

At least I got to see that bitch Roslin die. Also, they should have used the original version of All Along the Watchtower.
