yep same here. You wonder how you went through life before SSD.

And you can still have a traditional for all your photos, vids and porn. SSD can just be used for OS loading and a few important games.

I boot from a regular spinning-platter drive, but I run my games from an SSD. this is how I balance cost versus capacity -- I use the high-cost storage only for the specific thing that needs it.

As prices come down and capacity goes up, I may eventually use one SSD for everything, or I might use a slow, cheap SSD for the operating system and a fast, expensive SSD drive for games (keeping in mind that even a slow SSD is faster than a spinning platter drive, and there are some SSD drives that are *much* faster than other SSD drives, albeit with *much* higher price tags).

It is nice to see "requires reboot" after installing some driver or update and not think of it as a time to go get a drink.

That's what I was expecting, just had to ask. Built one with an SSD recently and that was the performance I saw as well. Some MB's have longer POST times than others.

It's already been answered, but yes, 15 seconds from power button pressed to everything loaded and ready to go.

So, one fourth of a minute and everything is ready to go?

That one is actually pretty slow for an SSD, not worth it IMO. 40k+ IPOS for a 'gaming' SSD
