I'm not so sure, Peter Petrelli has telepathic powers, and the ability to absorb and use any power he comes in contact with.

From the wiki he doesnt seem like much help. His telepathic powers might protect him to a degree and help him influence others who have been taken control (ya know how they always say like....hey man I know your in there, break this dude!) of ...but silver surfer could easily blow the planet up before this guy could do shit or even knew what was happening
