Ya they could have really flushed out the matrix part with more characters coming out of the matrix and participating in the movie etc.
And in the end the machines and the humans all get along. That doesn't make any sense. It's like Neo gave the machine a CHOICE it could understand or whatever. Weak allegory and metaphors when you start thinking about it.
