DAoC Roll-call
#12
I hear the Atlantis graphics are good. I would say the graphics are lower end than SWG or AC2, but I'd also say that this is because they built the game to handle 30 vs 30 PvP battles. Post-expansion EQ and even SWG have sweet graphics, but when you turn the corner and see 50 people it goes down to 5 frames per second. I don't recall having that problem with DAOC, and that was on my older system.

Leveling system is similar to AC2, or Diablo. Somewhat similar to SWG. You go from level 1 to 50 and pick what skills to invest in along the way. You might have a healing skill branch, a damage skill branch and a buffing skill branch, plus points you might want to put into melee skills, and you won't have enough at level 50 to master everything.

Probably the big thing with AC2 is the central battleground area. There are keeps you can take over and relics to capture that give your realm some benefits. There's also high level dungeons that can only be accessed by controlling the keep that holds the entrance. There's siege engines to batter down the doors with and you fight the PC+NPC defenders to take it over.

Anyway, it's really the only MMORPG that has PvP with any sort of point to it. It's a lot of what I was hoping SWG would have become.
