Yea I use windows defender and CCleaner. Does a real good job at keeping the PC clean and running nice.
But I wont run with out AV, you you shouldn't either Diggles. Hell, Ive seen viruses in shrink wrap software before.
Ive read a couple of reviews that show Avast as good, but it misses some of the virus out there. What Im finding is Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6 looks to be one of the best and has the least impact on performance.
Cnet has it as editors choice.

Here is a independent review org that shows Avast testing slightly below some of the others.
