Have they talked much about that? It would be a great case for longer term investment if they are planning to do more than just make and sell cars. Part of why I've always liked Amazon is their ability to diversify into sensible markets that they already had a stake in (storing lots of stuff online + big company website = hey let's sell "Amazon Cloud" services!)
Tesla working an energy storage angle seems like a good idea, if they're actually working on that.
