When muschamp leaves and the defense just magically drops off the next year and continues to get worse every subsequent year, it just might be the coaching. An inability to tackle or have other basic fundamentals is almost always a coaching issue.

There is not that much parity, there are 118 teams or something, and its almost always the exact same ones year in and out who are decent. No excuse for either Texas or Oklahoma to not win the big 12 every year (which is why they have won it the vast majority of times in the conference history, especially since Nebraska failed to adapt to modern era football.

They can if they catch the other team asleep, to claim mid level programs have the same talent levels of recruits is preposterous. There was a reason Boise State needed every trick play in the book to beat OU when they did (well two reasons, because Oklahoma sucks in bowl games).

Notre Dame has had shitty coaching forever, USC was run by a cheater and paid the price for that by suffering in recruiting, and Michigan is a big 10 team and they are jokes (but didn't they beat the hoakies last year? does that qualify as not doing squat?)

Florida also has competition, we don't. But if you admit we need "better coordinators" then you admit there is a coaching problem. And we have 2 national championship games in the last 10 years thanks very much. But there is no reason to be happy with a trip to a non BCS bowl, its unacceptable for a program like ours.
