Scouted the North Georgia Mountains this weekend for houses and snapped this nice picture from a back deck.

I'd love to live in upstate NY, but anywhere nice and affordable is 2 hours from anything that pays more that $75k per year.

I'd telecommute 4 days a week. I already let my developers do 2 days a week from home. Our VP hasn't been in the office for 2 months. One of my developers works out of his home from Detriot. Basically it's a very telecommute friendly office.
The area we are scouting is only about 50-60 miles from the office but is close to a 2 hour drive.

That is on route 60 about 15 miles North a Dahlonega. The settlement you can see in the picture is Fort Smith.

No, Clayton is way to the East near SC. This is North Central between Blairsville and Dahlonega. And you can tell your family to stay away from me, I bite!
